In addition, La Coquille Club membership grants access to the private club and its array of services.
La Coquille Club
Founded in the 1950s by Spelman Prentice, a Rockefeller by birth, the La Coquille Club became a premier oceanfront retreat. In 1972, it was sold to Detroit industrialist Robert B. Evans, who expanded the community with the addition of the 89 villas. What began as an exclusive private club has grown into a distinctive coastal community — still reflecting the charm and vision of its original founders.
